MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. March 12, 2001 Verisity Ltd., a provider of functional verification automation tools, today announced that Texas Instruments (TI), the leader in digital signal processing and analog for the Internet Age, has adopted the company’s Specman Elite™ testbench automation tool for verifying standard and application-specific integrated circuits and systems designs, such as TI’s Bluetooth Digital Baseband Technology.

TI has been using Specman Elite on critical design projects for the past two years and has chosen to standardize on Specman Elite. Specman Elite automates the process of verification, enabling TI’s engineers to shorten their verification schedules and deliver high quality products. In the case of TI’s Bluetooth technology, Specman Elite enabled TI to verify the hardware and software together early in the design phase and identified critical bugs that otherwise would not have been found until post silicon.
